Grandparents for Mary Jane

Here is an interesting video, that I came across while surfing the net.

Hopefully… this tour raises enough money and comes to a city near me, so that all of the (with all do respect) willfully ignorant elderly I know, could attend.

Enjoy!

The SOPA and PIPA Era Has Already Started!

This is going to be a wild ride!

“Megaupload was shut down on Thursday by the U.S. Justice Department with an indictment against seven of its global executive team on charges including criminal copyright infringement and conspiracy to commit money laundering. This involved the arrest of 4 of them in Auckland, New Zealand. The indictments have since triggered a series of cyber attacks by hacktivist cyber group “Anonymous” on some federal and entertainment industry websites, including the Justice Department, FBI, Universal Music and EMI. This latest rides on the back of the on going SOPA and PIPA struggles.” – Hypebeast

The Truth Behind Marijuana

Why is it that…the people who are most against Marijuana, are the ones, who are the most ignorant about the subject? These people choose to fight facts with myths, instead of really taking the time out to research and study what it is that they are condemning. They rather float along with the popular opinion and go on a Marijuana “Witch Hunt”…Why?… What is the point of seeing innocent lives “burnt at the stake” or thrown in jail because you are to lazy or selectively ignorant to the truth. If you choose to be  ignorant on any subject, then you have NO RIGHT to JUDGE or CONDEMN!

If you want to learn the TRUTH, watch the Documentary above and other Documentaries like it. Formulate your OWN opinion, whether good or bad, based on truths and facts.

DON”T JUST BECOME ANOTHER BLIND SHEEP.

Pacquiao Vs. Marquez 3

In less than 3 hours…World War 3 will begin…Manny Pacquio (53 wins, 38 knockouts – 3 losses – 2 draws) Vs. Juan Manuel Marquez (53 wins, 39 knockouts – 5 losses – 1 draw) the trilogy!

I for one am very excited for this fight. The first two times that these two boxing titans met, was nothing less than a great battle. The first match was back in 2004, were both competitors weighed in at the featherweight division. Marquez, who was knocked to the canvas 3 times in the first round by Manny, managed to get back on his feet and battle his way back for 12 rounds and eventually end the fight in a draw. The second time, the two met was in 2008 at the super featherweight division and Manny pulled off the victory with a split decision.

I predict…that this will be the “fight of the year”…and of course…I am going with team Pacman!!!!

Tune in at 9pm EST on PayPerView…Until then here are some highlights of both fighters.

“It’s Better In The Wind” a Short film Directed by Scott Toepfer

“It’s Better in the Wind” is a 15 minute short film that puts you in the saddle and behind the handle bars of what being a true “motorcyclist” is all about. Scott Toepfer takes us on an adventure through the western part of the United States, with his friends and family. Their journey was filmed and set to an original track, that Scott and his friend, Chuck Ragan collaborated on.

“I have been slowly editing the footage into a visual scrapbook of sorts for those who partook, and those who followed us via the web. No preaching the triumphs and failures of the motorcycle industry, no divisive commentary between manufacturers and styles…just a collection of imagery that will hopefully inspire more people to take to the road and discover what there is outside of our respective communities.” – Scott Toepfer

This film is the embodiment of what riding a motorcycle is all about! Traveling down the open rode into a new future, as the wind purifies your soul. Leaving the past in the dust… only to see as far back as your mirrors will allow. There is no better feeling then coming home from a LOOOONG DAYS work and jumping on those two wheels to forget about the days problems and discover a new adventure.

Occupy Wall Street

While I can’t say that I totally agree with the view points and stance that this movement is taking, one thing I can say is that I admire and respect their willingness and strength to stand or “occupy” 🙂 for what they believe in.

Many people… who I know, are upset with this movement and have expressed so…with feelings of hate and anger. It is one thing, not to agree with an individual or group’s set way of thinking, but it is another to let the opposite’s opinion blind the heart with anger and disdain.

That goes for both sides…The 1% and the 99%…which ever you consider yourself to be…

Are you the “King of the Jungle” or just a “Zoo Lion”?

“You ever wonder why animals at the zoo seem to have a little edge on them? The tiger never quite looks totally happy. The monkeys seem to have a lot on their minds. I think that’s because they know that they aren’t living out their full potential. I’ve been to Africa. Several times.  I’ve seen lions running free in Africa. And compared to the ones in the San Diego Zoo, there is a different bounce in their step. More cockiness in their roar. The difference? The lion in the zoo is just existing; the one in the wild is living. the animal in the jungle lives out the purpose he was created for. He reigns over his dominion.” – Kirk Franklin, “The Blueprint”

Which lion are you? Are you a “Zoo Lion”, that works the regular 9-5 just because it pays the bills and gets you by from day-to-day. Are you like the “Zoo Lion” who is content with being in the zoo because he is guaranteed three square meals a day and a warm place to lay his head at night. Do you wake up (after hitting the snooze button 20 times) and go to work everyday knowing that, you will be doing the same old job… day…. after day…after day. The funny thing about “Zoo Lions” is that, even tho they might get into the routine of working at a “job”, they always wish and hope for that something more. They have that feeling deep down in their heart of hearts that this is not what is meant for them, That they have a higher “calling”.

“Understanding the difference between having a job and having a calling. You see, a job doesn’t’ create in you a burning sense of purpose, a motivation for living. It doesn’t fire you up in the morning as you look forward to the day; it doesn’t make you believe that something special will happen today because you were created for that something. No, a job doesn’t do that for your soul. A job just means a PAY CHECK…But a CALLING speaks to that dream you had as a little kid, when you were drawing pictures or fixing things around the house with the toy tools you got for Christmas. It fulfills you like nothing else in the world.” – Kirk Franklin, “The Blueprint”

When you are the “King of the Jungle”, a lion in the wild, you are fulfilling your purpose and playing your part in this great thing we call life. Work at your “calling” not at a “job”. Yes, fulfilling your “calling” is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Times will get hard and you might not know how a bill will be paid for that month but you will be a happier and greater person for it. It is rough in the beginning but it will get better in the long run!

A lion in the wild wakes up everyday and hunts for his food, that is what he lives for, that is his passion. Yes, it probably is a pain in the ass… to have to hunt down his prey and go through the whole process of the hunt and it is rough. He might not even catch anything his first few tries but this is his passion so it is a pleasure and challenge to keep going. He hunts and hunts and hunts and…hunts, then one day he is successful and catches the prize that he has been chasing for hours and hours even could have been days. He is joyed, he can lay his head down at night knowing that he has fulfilled his “calling” and satisfied his passion… he goes to sleep waiting to see what special adventure tomorrow is going to bring and smiles because this is what he loves and lives for. That moment of accomplishment, means more to him then any scrape of meat the zookeeper can throw in the “Zoo lions” cage.

“What’s the use of having a Range Rover if you hate waking up every day to go to a job you can’t stand just to pay for it?” – Kirk Franklin, “The Blueprint”

I AM A “ZOO LION” WORKING AT BECOMING FREE TO ROAM WILD AND ONE DAY EVENTUALLY, BECOME “THE KING OF THE JUNGLE”!

What kind of lion are you?
